Bio: A leading construction litigator in Toronto, Gary has built his reputation on his practical, economical approach to handling construction disputes and litigation. He has helped pioneer a process of early education/technical meetings for complex construction matters, enabling parties to exchange key documents and to meet on a without prejudice basis to discuss liability, damages and the possibility of early resolution before embarking on the traditional route of lengthy and expensive litigation.
Since 1989, Gary has defended engineers in a wide variety of complex construction claims, including projects involving hospitals, universities, sewers and water mains, subdivisions, condominium developments, towers, retrofits, highway and bridge projects, hydro dams, retirement homes, and manufacturing plants. Gary appears at all levels of the Ontario Courts and regularly attends before Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), defending engineers in complaints and discipline matters.
Volunteer: Board of Directors, Toronto Wildlife Centre.
