Fellow of the Canadian College of Construction Lawyers and included among the Best Lawyers® in Canada for Construction Law since 2017. Jennifer has represented players in every part of the construction pyramid. Jennifer’s practice is primarily focused on the defence of engineers in a variety of complex construction claims. She acted for Golder Associates in the Red Hill Valley Parkway Inquiry and has acted for engineering firms in Arbitrations and civil claims litigated to successful outcomes. Focusing on early production and technical analysis, Jennifer is experienced in managing complex multi-party construction disputes to successful resolution. Recent litigation includes:

• * Co-Lead counsel for an international engineering firm in a structural dispute arising from the failure of the bridge across the Nipigon River.
• * Lead counsel for an international engineering firm in an Arbitration in relation to the design and construction of a rail link.
• * Lead counsel for an international engineering firm in relation to the design and construction of the highway 427 extension and the defence of the delay claim.
• * Lead counsel for a national architectural and engineering firm in relation to the design and construction of an architecturally award-winning bus garage in Edmonton.
• * Lead counsel for an international engineering firm in relation to the lighting design for highway 404.
• * Lead counsel for the architect, and engineering firms on a P3 contract for the design and construction of a hospital extension and defence of the delay claim.

Recent speaking engagements include seminars given by the Canadian Geotechnical Society, Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, Osgoode Hall Law School Professional Development, the Ontario Bar Association; the Advocates Society and the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies.
